Our
Story
Opened in 1990, Thunderbay has trained hundreds of students in dressage, huntseat, and cross country. We pride ourselves on having a diverse array of horses and trainers for any level- from riders who have never been on a horse to those who grew up on one.

The Eichner family is the current caretaker of the barn, they and their daughters' passion for horses drives them to improve our programs at every turn. As parents of riders, they understand the value of your child receiving safe, concise, and valuable training to be the best horseman they can be. At Thunderbay, we are happy to provide that experience.
Child Safety
Our stable is committed to providing a safe, positive and fun environment for kids to explore the world of horses.
We provide sturdy, ASTM-approved riding helmets and gear in addition to our large indoor ring with soft footing in case of falls.
Our team is trained in cognitive assessment and the proper steps to assure a child's wellbeing in case of an unplanned dismount. We also teach students horse safety and fall mitigation skills like a one rein stop.
Medical kits are on property at all times.
